Mosine Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 18, 2026
Mosine is an iOS app that shows photos taken on this day in past years and helps you review and delete the ones you no longer want.
The short version: Mosine does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything happens on your device. The app has no servers, no accounts, and makes no network connections.
Photo library access
Mosine asks for permission to access your photo library so it can find and display photos taken on today’s month and day. You can grant access to your full library or only to selected photos, and you can change this at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Your photos, and all information about them, are processed entirely on your device. They are never uploaded, copied, or shared anywhere. Mosine cannot see your photos when the app is not in use.
When you delete photos through Mosine, iOS always asks you to confirm first. Deleted photos are moved to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app, where they can be recovered for about 30 days.
Information stored on your device
Mosine keeps a small amount of information locally, and only locally:
- Deletion statistics, such as how many photos you have deleted and how much space that freed. This is stored so the app can show you your lifetime stats.
- Your app settings and preferences.
This information never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the app. Mosine has no way to access it remotely.
Notifications
Mosine can send an optional daily reminder to check today’s photos. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device and require your permission. You can turn them off at any time in the app or in the iOS Settings app.
Ratings
Mosine may occasionally show Apple’s standard in-app rating dialog. This dialog is provided and handled by Apple, and any information involved is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not by Mosine.
Analytics and tracking
Mosine contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party services that collect data.
Children
Mosine does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new effective date. Since Mosine collects no data, changes are unlikely.
